Huhtamaki Flexibles Turkey has received ISTA-6 Certificate from Amazon.com with its recyclable mono PE pouch solution

Huhtamaki has passed ISTA-6 Amazon.com Over-Boxing Non-Fragile Test Procedure with its recyclable mono-PE flat-bottom pouch solution for 1 kg dry pet food products due to the good condition of the packaging and the lack of leakage of the product.

It is important for e-commerce-ready packaging to be resistant to the harshest conditions of complex e-commerce supply chains while preventing damage to the products it preserves.

Thanks to the effort of our expert team that our solution has been designed to meet the international ISTA-6 laboratory test standards, therefore Huhtamaki Flexibles achieved for the first time Amazon ISTA-6 certificate for its e-commerce-ready packaging solution.

ISTA 6-AMAZON.COM Overboxing test procedure was performed at ITENE’s accredited laboratory for ISTA 6A –Amazon.com tests.

The test procedure sequence defined by ISTA 6-AMAZON.com Over-Boxing Fragile consists of the following tests:

  • Pre-conditioning at Temperature and Relative Humidity: 23o C and 50% RH for at least 12 hours.
  • First free fall drop sequence: consists of 9 different drops at different heights and orientations.
  • Vertical random vibration in 3 orientations, simulating road transport.
  • Second free fall drop sequence: it consists of 8 different drops at different heights and orientations.
