Elif turned its lights off on Saturday March 29th between 8:30 – 9:30 pm local time for Earth Hour; an annual event aimed at raising awareness about energy consumption and climate change.
Elif, known for its sustainable approach, has joined hands with the nature conversation body WWF Turkey to promote Earth Hour. Earth Hour is a worldwide movement for the planet organised by the World Wildlife Fund (WWF). The annual event is held worldwide and encourages individuals, communities, households and businesses to turn off their non-essential lights for one hour, from 8:30 to 9:30 p.m. on the last Saturday in March, as a symbol for their commitment to the planet.
Elif is honoured to support Earth Hour and encourages all co-workers, customers and business partners to turn off their non-essential lights for one hour as a symbol of love and devotion towards our beloved planet. The business impact of energy consumption and climate change present a complex challenge, especially within the packaging industry. It requires thoughtful and creative solutions like Elif’s sustainability approach. Elif’s sustainable packaging and system solutions help its customers achieve successful results by reducing their impact on the use of natural resources and by supporting a sustainable future for the communities where Elif and its customers operate. Sustainability is a business imperative and Elif continually looks to integrate it throughout its overall business model.
