Elif, one of the leading companies in the manufacturing sector with its sustainability approach and successfully accomplished projects, has become the first company in the packaging sector by fulfilling the competencies to get the Environment Permit on 15th March 2012.
Elif acts responsibly towards the environment and the society, promotes productive and cost saving methods and technology and develops its business activities within this framework. The value given to the environment and society by Elif has been documented with the receipt of the Environment Permit on 15.03.2012, within the context of the Regulation regarding Compulsory Permits and Licenses according to the Environment Law.
After putting its signature under a benchmark green energy project with the aim of popularising the use of green energy across the industry last January, Elif has been the first company in the Turkish Packaging sector and the 213th company in the Turkish Industry that has achieved to receive the Environment Permit. Elif will continue to create long-term value for sustainability with similar projects.
For Elif, sustainable development means the combination of long-term oriented economic success with environmental protection and social responsibility. This first Environment Permit in the sector has proved its commitment to sustainable development to its business partners and community. Sustainable practice is an integral part of Elif’s corporate culture and, therefore, Elif will continue to be a leader in sustainable development with new investments and initiatives strengthening its sustainability approach.
